Books.

From our first years with our parents to our first years with our children, books play a pivotal role in our relationships and our imaginations.

Mark Twain once said, “A man who doesn’t read good books has no advantage over the man who can’t read them.”

Scholastic book clubs were an active part of my childhood and I still remember the adventure of choosing which books I was going to order. And then when the books arrived and the teacher handed me my collection of books…WOW! It was all I could do to contain my excitement. The paperback covers were so shiny and crisp.

Thanks to Molly Pesce and Barnes & Noble, books have found their way to an Internet version of the Scholastic book club catalogue. Through the weekly online video series, Barnes & Noble tagged!, Molly Pesce draws our attention to the unlimited adventures we are able to take through books. Whether you like mystery, suspense, romance, real life, or history, this show is for you.

Tune in each week to Molly’s reviews, buy a book or check one out from your nearest library and start reading. Shiny, crisp covers or well worn ones are waiting for you to open them up and begin your next adventure!
